Nike Is Bringing Back the Spiridon
More retros all around.

Back in 1997 the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon wasn’t the most popular of silhouettes in the mainstream, but Nike‘s continuous string of throwback releases is still welcoming a 2016 retro of the sneaker (check out the Spiridon’s original ad).
The quirky cult favorite that takes its name from the Greek Saint Spyridon was almost ahead of its time; this futuristic running shoe held a design that carried through to counterparts in the 2000s with its chunky Swoosh logo and full-length Zoom Air unit sole. After a small re-release issued in the early ’00s the Spiridon ultimately ceased production after it was channeled into a basketball sneaker, the Zoom Don. We’re excited to see its return in possible OG colorways like Black/Red (pictured above), Royal/Silver or Royal/Red.
Watch out for the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Retro 16 to be officially revealed soon.
