Nike Sportswear's "Rainbow" Pack Will Round up Classic Runners
Includes the Air Max 1, Waffle Racer and Air Zoom Talaria.
Just earlier this month a pair of original 1972 Nike Waffle Racers hit eBay and were sold for more than $11,000 USD. The iconic shoe is one of many in Nike’s prestigious running lineup, which also includes models like the Air Zoom Talaria and Air Max 1. Therefore it is no surprise that the Beaverton-based powerhouse will be bringing all three of these silhouettes together for a special “Rainbow” pack to start off 2017 with a bang.
Adding life and rejuvenating these classics will be a bright and festive palette of colors — the Waffle Racer will see a neon green upper with black sole; the Air Max 1 is wrapped in a fuchsia/raspberry-esque hue of suede with yellow accents; and the Talaria sees two shades of blue with yellow highlights. All three shoes will receive a special branded rainbow gradation on the tongue.
