Saturdays NYC has offered up a full look inside of its brand new Melbourne flagship which opened last weekend. Following last year’s establishment on Sydney’s Bondi Beach, Saturdays NYC Melbourne marks the second time the Big Apple-based imprint has set up shop in Australia. Like the Bondi Beach location, Melbourne’s space was designed by Akin Creative and is billed as “a contemporary, gallery like space with reference to 1950’s modernism. The material palette is mostly neutral tones of white timber and concrete which creates a soft, classic mood.” Featuring everything from local materials and custom lighting to a bevy of photographic artwork, the 800-square-foot space will be home to everything from apparel and accessories to surfboards, magazines and coffee, the beans of which will be supplied through a co-op from Sydney’s Artificer and Melbourne-based Everyday Coffee. Customers should also be on the lookout for a number of exclusives, too.
