Brainchild of Johnson magazine, Rob Meyers, first debuted the publication specifically catered to the modern man last year. The fledgling, biannual tome that covers a wide range of topics spanning fashion, music, cars, interiors and food is now back with “The Now Issue.” The late and great Prince, Fendi, Omar Souleyyman and more don the issue’s five unique covers. Renowned visual artist Mat Maitland captured the vibrant portrait for The Purple One while Apartmento magazine’s Nacho Allegre snapped the photo of the popular Syrian musician.
In addition, William S. Burroughs’ abode in New York City also gets the limelight alongside the U.S. Army All-American bowl that took place in San Antonio, Texas. Last but certainly not least, fashion shutterbug Bruno Staub captured the woolly spread for Fendi that presumably features a gamut of winter essentials. Getting into the meat of the matter, the issue will relay essays, think pieces as well as never-before-seen photos of Brooklyn-based artist KAWS, Dover Street Market and David Beckham.
Take a look at the five unique covers for Johnson‘s “The Now Issue” above and expect pre-orders to launch this November 21 at the publication’s official website.
