In a recent segment of The Meat Show on Eater, host Nick Solares dropped by the Drunken Dumpling in New York City to tackle its signature, massive soup dumpling. For some, the iconic Chinese dish is already difficult to eat, so the humongous size touted by the East Village restaurant only makes chowing down that much harder. Or does it? Thankfully, there’s a method to the madness and it only involves one unsuspecting utensil: a straw.
