Is RZA Bringing Wu Wear Back?
Bobby Digital has a new menswear line.

RZA, one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s most prominent members, just launched a presale of clothing and accessories today under his new label 36 Chambers. The brand is the brainchild between the rapper and label co-founder, Mustafa Shaikh and aims to provide the fashion market a clothing line “built on the Wu philosophy.” Fans would be quick to see if the selections have any semblance to the ’90s baggy tracksuits and hoodies Wu Wear, but it looks like this brand has a completely different design aesthetic. The first collection called “The Golden Dragon Rises” consists of outerwear, tops, a bag, and enamel pin. The range takes on black and gold colors with dragon motifs. One of the standouts is a satin souvenir jacket which retails for $250 USD and is limited to 200 pieces.
According to RZA, “36 Chambers is inspired by the Wu philosophy: kung fu, mathematics, Eastern philosophy and art. Using that as a foundation, we’ve blended together the rugged feel of streetwear, with the quality craftsmanship of high fashion, to create apparel with a classic look.”
The Golden Dragon Rises collection will fully launch online November 18 with pop-up shops to follow in December. You can order some items on pre-sale now (souvenir jacket and pin) at the brand’s official website.
