Chris Rock Reportedly Signs $40 Million USD Deal With Netflix

Following an eight-year absence, Emmy-nominated comedian Chris Rock is making his return to stand-up after reportedly signing a $40 million USD two-special deal with Netflix. According to sources, Amazon, Hulu and HBO were involved in a bidding war over Rock’s next specials but the 51-year-old opted to join the long list of comedic artists including the likes of Chelsea Handler, Aziz Ansari, Patton Oswalt and Dana Carvey at Netflix. Additionally, Rock is planning a global stand-up tour to coincide with the recording of his first special in 2017 for the streaming platform. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
