After months of heavy anticipation, Vans has finally released its new snowboarding short film titled “First Layer Japan.” Each year, snowboarders are constantly searching for the best powder, so venturing out to Japan seemed like the perfect choice for both its environment and riding opportunities. In the film, riders Nils Arvidsson, Valérian Ducourtil, Markus Keller and DBK are seen going on a crazy powder mission to the northern island of Hokkaido. Meanwhile, a crew consisting of Sami Luhtanen, Will Smith, Cees Wille and Benny Urban explored the main island and the many exciting street spots it had to offer.

To accompany the launch of the short film, Matt Georges has produced a limited edition photo booklet and newspaper version which are now available in select Vans stores across Europe.
