The Weinstein Company releases a second full-length trailer for its upcoming cinematic adaptation of Macbeth, following a first look. Michael Fassbender makes a huge departure from his role as Steve Jobs in another blockbuster to release this October, to play the titular Macbeth in Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, supported by Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth. The trailer provides not so much an overview of the plot as weaving an atmosphere thick with quiet, fated murder and the intrigue of the 11th century Scottish courts juxtaposed against epic, large-scale battles in slow-mo. Get ready for Macbeth to hit cinemas this October 2.
