The Northern Irish designer continues his trademark androgynous aesthetic in his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2016. At times austere and at others fantastical, the ensembles sent down the runway featured over-the-top floral prints, cryptic codes and painterly brushstrokes, and those without made do with sharp silhouettes and a play on materials, including everything from black leather and ribbed fabrics, to sheer material and indigo-dyed fabric. J.W. Anderson continued this theme of incongruity throughout with a play on what makes something substantial and another menial, by framing everyday items such as keys and scissors with an elevated respect in the form of brooches, prominent prints and strange key-carrying contraptions. Buckled patent shoes accompanied every outfit, adding even more of an incongruous feel to the whole show. Browse a selection of the looks from this collection above.
