Margaret Howell 2016 Spring/Summer Collection
Margaret Howell’s latest collection drives forward a theme of straightforward graphic dressing.

Driving forward a theme of straightforward graphic dressing, Margaret Howell’s latest collection in London was a largely monotone affair. Adding her own subtle touch to a number of menswear staples, Howell sent high-waisted, front-pleated pants, boxy linen tees, workwear trousers, and an assortment of sharply tailored mackintoshes down the runway. While some looks clearly took inspiration from pajamas, accessories such as ascots and sandals with socks added a certain touch of dandy yet contemporary flair to the collection, though the ensembles will find it hard to offend anyone’s sensibilities, unlike most other avant-garde designers showing this season.
