Grime MC Skepta has been having quite a promising year, firstly by performing with Kanye West, secondly with his revival of the grime music scene with his influential track “SHUTDOWN.” The track, which was recently accompanied by a visual, has prompted British punk duo Slaves to cover the popular song with a raw, punk inspired attitude that rocked the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in a nostalgic 70’s vibe kind of way.
