Lil Wayne Takes a Shot at Young Thug

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Ever since they said it, it’s been up for debate. Young Thug has referenced him as an inspiration, got down with his team, and, depending how you look at it, either honored or jacked the name of an album coming at a rather controversial time in his career and it seems Lil Wayne finally wants to address it. During last night’s stop on his club tour, Weezy got on the mic and said a few words. We have to assume they were directed at Young Thug, provided the album art for Tha Carter VI.
In the video you can hear Wayne say, “Stop listening to songs of n*ggas who pose naked on their motherfucking album covers.”
Weezy’s feelings on flattery seem rather apparent. Young Thug’s Tha Carter VI drops in one week, on April 17.
