D’Angelo & The Vanguard Announce ‘Second Coming’ Tour

On the heels of his long-awaited comeback album Black Messiah, D’Angelo is embarking on a nationwide trek, titled the ‘Second Coming’ tour. Kicking off in Oakland, CA on June 7 and wrapping up in Sayreville, NJ on June 28, the campaign encompasses 14 cities, including an appearance at Tennessee’s Bonnaroo Festival along the way. The singer will be accompanied by The Vanguard, his band that includes The Who bassist Pino Palladino, guitarists Jesse Johnson and Isaiah Sharkey, drummer Chris “Daddy” Dave, keyboardist Cleo “Pookie” Sample and vocalists Kendra Foster, Charlie “Red” Middleton and Jermain Holmes.
