Following the unveiling of the 2015 All-Star Collection, we now have a closer look at the Nike Kyrie 1 “All-Star.” Inspired by New York City’s legendary City Hall subway station, which boasted unique tiling until its closure in 1945, the shoe represents Irving’s lightning fast speed and old-school flair much like the “ghost” subway station. Take the 6 Train and see the now-defunct station fly by your eyes, much like Irving’s game-changing speed. Featuring 360-degree dynamic traction, Zoom Air and lockdown fit, the purple and gray colorway merges perfectly in a gradient heel to embody speed. The 3D-embossed heel and textured upper make for an eye-catching design. Check out more of the Kyrie 1 “All-Star” above, which will be released February 14 at nike.com and select retailers worldwide.
