De La Soul never seemed to fit the mold of early ’90s rap. With a uniquely offbeat and beautifully eccentric style, the trio’s influence extended beyond hip-hop, becoming a large part of skateboarding culture during that era as well. In 2005, Nike honored De La Soul’s impact on the skateboarding community with a highly regarded special edition Dunk and now a decade later, the iconic shoes are getting an update. Here we see the SB Dunk High done in all white, with imagery from De La Soul’s classic album 3 Feet And Rising printed across the shoe’s upper. The new release manages to pay homage to the original De La Soul’s, while maintaining a fresh and modern look all its own. Hip-hop heads, skateboarders, and of course party people, your dreams have now been fulfilled. Read more about the release at The Hundreds, and look for the De La Soul x Dunk SB High when it goes on sale February 13 at select retailers like Renarts.
