Nike Transforms an Old Mercurial into an Air Max
Introducing the Ronaldo-inspired Mercurial Vapor IX R9.
Nike may have introduced the Mercurial Vapor X more than a year ago, but that hasn’t stopped the Swoosh from revisiting its predecessor here in 2015. However, the latest Mercurial Vapor IX isn’t a football boot — instead, it’s a brand new Air Max. Dubbed the Mercurial Vapor IX R9, the new silhouette reinterprets Brazilian legend Ronaldo’s 1998 Mercurial R9, adding its signature motif to the sleek upper of the Vapor IX and employing a speckled Max Air-cushioned midsole for off-pitch wear.
Look for these to soon be available at select NSW spots in limited quantities.
