In the second full-length trailer for the biopic based on Dr. Bennet Omalu’s monumental discoveries, we get a closer look at the dark journey that the forensic neuropathologist trekked. Based on the 2009 GQ article “Game Brain” by Jeanna Marie Laskas, Concussion portrays the true story of how Omalu made the first discovery of CTE (a degenerative disease caused by football-related brain trauma) and then set out to bring awareness to the issue by confronting the NFL. In a remarkable David vs. Goliath story, the film shows how the NFL continued to deny the links between football and CTE as the American immigrant relentlessly strove to uncover the truth. The film stars Albert Brooks, Alec Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Paul Reiser and Luke Wilson. Concussion will hit theaters on Christmas Day.
