Extra Butter x adidas Originals "Vanguard" Collection - Part 2
Scholarly inspiration for a couple of Three Stripes classics.
Fresh off yesterday’s teaser, New York’s Extra Butter and adidas have unveiled the second part of their collaborative “Vanguard” collection. Whereas the first drop utilized both the ZX Flux and ZX Trail Mid, the second part of the collection taps a couple of beloved classics — the Stan Smith and Rod Laver — and gives them a scholarly twist. While the Rod Laver comes with a navy nubuck upper and miniature bee embroidery alongside red-striped foxing, a matching tongue with metallic scholastic achievement “Punctuality” and “Perfect Attendance” crest pins, the Stan Smith opts for a camel-colored wool upper, a black leather heel, flat brass eyelets and a bright red pull tab.
Both of the latest “Vanguard” offerings will be available October 20 exclusively at Extra Butter during a special release event at 7 p.m. ET before hitting extrabutterny.com the following day, October 21, at 12 p.m. ET.
