Well-known for his utilitarian tendencies and ability to fuse style and sustainability, Christopher Raeburn returns with the debut of his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. This season, the British designer took his cues from the “Boneyard” — an Arizona repository for old Air Force jets — and created a flight-inspired collection of both sporty and tailored clothing. Standouts from the range include the clear Pop-Out Jacket — a classic Raeburn style that’s unlined to showcase the contrasting reverse side of the fabric — the floral-print Hybrid Hoodie and the Quilted Bomber, which reimagines the classic flight jacket with high quality recycled polyester, eco-friendly PrimaLoft insulation, contrasting sleeves and 1970s-style zig-zag quilting. Rounding out the highlights, meanwhile, is the inclusion of the Packaway Rucksack, a water-repellant nylon backpack that packs away into it’s own small self-contained bag, making it the ideal lightweight companion for one’s daily adventures.
