Spirit Club - Still Life

Wavves might not exactly be the most active band in indie rock right now, but frontman Nathan Williams is keeping himself working with his side project, Spirit Club. The Williams-helmed trio released a pair of debut songs a few months back, and have now shared a third song entitled “Still Life.” “Still Life” doesn’t veer too far from the musical direction of past releases “Eye Dozer” and “Sling,” but it’s a probably a good thing to show your band has a fully-formed style right from the start. Spirit Club’s new one is the sort of upbeat, fuzzy, pop-leaning rock that you could probably imagine being a Wavves B-side, so you can see that Williams’ songwriting and mindset as a artist remain intact and consistent.
