Longstanding contemporary label 3.1 Phillip Lim outlined its intents for a release later this year, putting a neat spin on activewear for Fall/Winter 2015. The aptly-created range centers largely around the theme of ‘ascent,’ borrowing motifs from mountaineering gear and ending up in the galactic depths of Jupiter. Accordingly, Mr. Lim himself deconstructed climbing suits, vests and parkas for the base of the collection, rebuilding them with luxurious knits, soft quilted cottons, and of course leather.
