Justin Bieber is set to be the next celebrity thrown to the wolves on Comedy Central’s Roast series. The news was announced earlier in the week by the network, and Bieber tweeted out his enthusiasm about the news directly following Comedy Central’s announcement. The “Confident” singer tweeted the following on Tuesday:
For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me. They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard
— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) January 20, 2015
Finally after all that hard work for my 21st bday it’s happening. Thanks @RyanSeacrest & @ComedyCentral for the announcement. Let’s do it :) — Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) January 20, 2015
And, TMZ is reporting that Bieber views his “roast” as a “form of therapy,” and the outlet reports the 21-year-old “thinks the evening will end the chapter of his life where he messed up. He’ll take his lumps, and then move on as a real adult.”
Comedy Central’s last Roast was centered on actor James Franco, and was presided over by Franco’s close friend Seth Rogan. The Bieber edition of Comedy Central Roast is expected to air sometime in March.
