Japanese high-end designer Issey Miyake took to the runways of Paris to debut his Fall/Winter 2015 collection just earlier. The heralded label offered a balanced selection of European-cut suiting and outlandish, draping statement silhouettes – undoubtedly drawing from vintage-inflected Japanese street style. With a serious focus on textures this season, Miyake and company showcase patterned linen and broadcloth alongside full woolen knits and even luxurious silk. Of particular note, many of the trousers here reference the trending “Jogger” silhouette, further signaling the decreasing line between streetwear and high fashion.
