Ryan Hemsworth has shared a new video in support of a track off his sophomore album, Alone For The First Time. The Alex G-assisted “Too Long Here” is the second Alone For The First Time cut to receive the video treatment, with another video for album track “Snow In Newark” released back in October. The visual is directed by Alex Girav, who in the past has done some pretty impressive work for Saint Pepsi. Speaking to Dazed about today’s offering, Hemsworth says the video’s narrative is partly inspired by The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror” episode where Homer continually clones himself, and that the clip’s message is one that’s critical of the current selfie-obsessed culture centered on “self-worship.” In a quote, Hemsworth tells Dazed, “(Selfies are) not the most dangerous or horrible thing to happen, but it’s one chapter from a bigger, much scarier story.”
