Chosen by Xscape’s Executive Producer L.A. Reid, Timbaland took on the daunting task of leading a team of record producers to help retool and contemporize eight unreleased Michael Jackson songs for a compilation album. Though rumored to be the first leak from the posthumous LP, the Timberland-produced track “Chicago” follows “Love Never Felt So Good” as the latest single to hit the blogosphere. Originally recorded in 1999 and meant to appear on MJ’s 2001 album Invincible, “Chicago” centers on a love interest with a hidden identity. Xscape is scheduled to release stateside on May 13.
