“Have you hugged your foot today?” The model behind the infamous catchphrase is back with a new color interpretation of the Nike Air Huarache. Following a number of original and innovative iterations of the style’s color swatch this year alone, Nike has now made the Huarache available in a Swoosh staple — “Obsidian” Blue.
Remaining true to the design of its 1991 predecessor, the shoe’s navy upper comes equipped with a perforated toe box and rubber heel strap. The monochromatic palette sits on a contrasting white midsole helping accentuate its deep hue for an almost elegant finish. Completed with flat woven laces and corresponding branding on the tongue of the shoe, the Air Huarache “Obsidian” has effectively aligned itself with the trend movements of its younger demographic.
