Baby Yu, commonly referred to as the “mixtape kid,” has linked up with DJ Drama and Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy to drop his first studio mixtape titled The Rebirth. Having taken inspiration from Jeezy classics, “The Rebirth” features an onslaught of Jeezy tunes inter-fused with a deeper level of instrumentation and hard-hitting electronic sound waves. Coupled with gritty lyrics, the 14-track mixtape makes for a unique experience, which solidifies Baby Yu’s come-up in the EDM/hip-hop music scene. Yu offers a treat with the mixtape’s last track, “Link Up,” which so happens to be Jeezy’s new single, having been produced by DJ Mustard, and also featuring guest verses from Beenie Man and Ty Dolla $ign. For more Baby Yu, you can tune into his weekly podcasts here, and also catch him supporting Jeezy on the second leg of his “Seen it All” tour.
