After turning up a few years back with a Free sole unit, Nike‘s “Fab Five”-popularized Air Flight Huarache is set to make its return this fall in proper OG form. One of the fruits of a 1992 collaboration between Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar, the shoe combines the functionality of South American sandals and the fit of neoprene water ski boots and is a testament to the Swoosh’s “less is more” philosophy thanks to its weight-reducing design. Coupling blue and purple neoprene with a white leather exoskeleton and black accents, the original Air Flight Huarache is set to hit NSW retailers and Nike.com come August 8.
