The summer brings out rays of sunshine, one too many drinks, casual barbecues and most of all, eclectic footwear. Even a slight increase in temperature gives good reason to find shade and a rush to bust out as many shorts and T-shirts as we can, but what about footwear? For many a millennium, the sandal has been utilized for a multitude of purposes due to its functionality and breathability, not to mention the simplicity in crafting such an item. “The Summer of Slides” showcases how sandals can be appropriate for a number of situations, as careful consideration towards styling can go a long way. In our feature, we look at a variety of sandals that encompass the majority in the spectrum of fashion, from the high-end likes of KRISVANASSCHE to the more streetwear-appropriate levels of adidas and Supreme.
