Multi-talented musician Rob McAndrews probably receives most of his recognition for his work as James Blake‘s live guitarist and one of Blake’s frequent collaborators, but the spacey sonic experimentation he conducts as Airhead deserves just as much attention. His new EP, Believe, synthesizes a multitude of forward-thinking dancefloor sounds, transmuting them into cohesive, unique pieces that almost sound like they could double as lo-fi radio broadcasts from another planet. Airhead takes on styles of production like a chameleon approaches their appearance, making for one of the most varied electronic experiences to come out of James Blake’s camp in recent memory. For fans of Blake and unorthodox, artful electronic music, this is almost tailored to your tastes. You can stream Believe in its entirety above.
