Fear of God Releases Collection 8 FW24 “American Symphony”
This time taking a look into American cinema.
At the top of the year, Jerry Lorenzo’s brainchild Fear of God revealed the Fall/Winter 2024 offering of its standout Collection 8 entitled “American Symphony.” The Collection 8 pillar first took root at Fear of God’s debut runway show in 2023, which also celebrated the brand’s 10th anniversary. Since then, it has become a driving force behind the Fear of God vision of American luxury with refreshed seasonal collections. Now the latest installment for FW24 has finally arrived.
In extending the discussion on what luxury has been and continues to be, Lorenzo looked to American cinema. Specifically, design elements from the collection explore 1930s Native American formal dressing of Killers of the Flower Moon, 1970s Harlem style in American Gangster and the 1970s Western style from Tombstone and Westworld.
Even with its cinema-inspired notes, the new installment continues Fear of God’s signature sleekly refined look that loves oversized shoulders and exaggerated proportions fused with luxurious fabrics like Japanese denim, stone-washed leather, polar fleece, pique bonded knits, cotton boucle and wool silk. The tapestry of textures takes like in suiting, versatile outerwear, classic yet contemporary pants and more.
