Childish Gambino Taps Amaarae, Jorja Smith on "In The Night"
Three days ahead of ‘Bando Stone & The New World”s release.
With Bando Stone & The New World just a few days away, Donald Glover has unveiled his second single from his final LP under his Childish Gambino moniker. After first premiering at Gambino’s “Live from Little Island” listening party in New York City the other week, “In The Night” – a vibey offering featuring the likes of Amaarae and Jorja Smith – has surfaced in full.
Clocking in at roughly four minutes long, “In The Night” starts off with Gambino on the first verse, with Amaarae and Smith contributing vocals as the track builds.

“I’m just a country boy from Georgia / Your body’s made for California, my love / Your man does nothin’ but adore ya / But I wonder, what would he say?” Gambino begins, with Smith delivering the dreamy backing vocals.
“In The Night” marks the second pre-release single lifted from Bando Stone & The New World, joining “Lithonia,” which dropped at the beginning of the month.
The album is also slated to feature Amaarae on another one of the cuts, with other features coming from Steve Lacy, Flo Milli, Fousheé, Chloë Bailey, Kamasi Washington and Yeat.
Stream “In The Night” now on Spotify and Apple Music, and check back here when Bando Stone & The New World drops this Friday, July 19.
