Drôle de Monsieur Pays Homage to a Myriad of Icons for SS25
Taking inspiration from country clubs and discreet enclaves of wealth.
Dany dos Santos and Maxime Schwab’s brand Drôle de Monsieur has just unveiled a slew of new looks for Spring/Summer 2025, with the line taking inspiration from country clubs and discreet enclaves of wealth where aristocrats and bad boys rubbed shoulders and where businessmen socialized with athletes and film stars.
The collection pays homage to the codes and lifestyles of country clubs, but also to the trailblazers who transformed elite spaces into playgrounds for professional excellence. Icons such as Sean Connery, Joe Pesci, Pavarotti, Michael Jordan, Tupac, Tiger Woods, and more have been cited as key inspirations, as the line merges these different worlds and eras while blending styling codes to create a masterful “mix-and-no-match.”
Highlight looks from the capsule come in the form of a suede Sahara jacket reminiscent of a young De Niro, with Nineties prints, ties, denim, and printed tracksuit jackets being welcomed that nod to The Sopranos. Elsewhere, a mock croc vest is partnered with a loose striped shirt and patterned tie, while tweed suits and silk robes are worn with leather brogues.
Sportswear items round off the collection, as post-polo or golf leisure wear — including jersey shorts and sleeveless puffer jackets — is complemented by seamless shirt and short combinations.
