Ye Confirms Release Date of His and Ty Dolla $ign's 'VULTURES Volume 2'
Their sophomore joint effort was initially scheduled to drop in March.
After a short delay, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s VULTURES Volume 2 finally has an official release date.
Ye himself revealed the news during his recent appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast, confirming that Volume 2 will be dropping on May 3. The pair’s sophomore joint effort, which follows up February’s Volume 1, was initially set to drop on March 8, while its successor — the finale of their ongoing album trilogy — was scheduled for April 5. The release date for their third album was not revealed.
Volume 2 is expected to feature an album cover that sees Ty pay homage to his incarcerated brother Jabreal Muhammad, also known as Big TC. Muhammad is currently serving a life sentence for a murder both the brothers maintain he didn’t commit. In early March, Ye shared that the record will not be available on streaming platforms, but this remains to be seen.
