Nottingham-based label Universal Works has just presented a new collaboration with K-Way and it sees the duo unveil a festival-ready collection that will be sure to gear you up for the two-stepping summer nights ahead.

French imprint K-Way is best known for its technically-inclined windbreaker jacket and now its latest collaboration with UW sees the brand build an all-new “Festival Kit” around it, with each design in the line being crafted to tackle the unpredictability of the UK’s summer season.

The collection starts with two jackets and a bag — both available in two colorways of “Dark Blue” and “Sand” — and each design is constructed from a recycled version of K-Way’s house fabric. The result is a lightweight and highly waterproof recycled ripstop and it’s packed with performance-ready materials with a sprinkle of retro edge.

Complemented with an assemblage of K-Way and Universal Works co-branding, the collection’s packable Watergate Bay Jacket comes packed with heat-taped seams, a two-way zip adjustable hem, three outer pockets, and a rear vent. Meanwhile, the jacket is finished with K-Way’s classic multi-colored zip, while a tab-and-snap detail on the chest sits alongside a lower pocket that’s designed to attach to tent pegs and bottle openers.

Speaking about the new collection, Universal Works’ co-founder, David Keyte, said: “It might be sunny with clear skies, but a sudden downpour is practically guaranteed, so it’s pieces like this that really make the whole festival experience that much more pleasant.”

You can check out the new collection from Universal Works x K-Way above and it is available to shop via the official Universal Works website now.
