‘NBA 2K27’ Announces New Updates That Will Change the Way You Play
Revealing the features ahead of its official release next week.
Gaming publisher 2K is keeping excitement high for the release of NBA 2K27. Following the reveal of the new gameplay trailer, it has now shared more details about the video game’s latest features, player modes and conceptual settings, as well as all-important information on early access.
The latest details were unveiled at the franchise’s first live presentation at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Through a 45-minute livestream, fans and gaming experts were able to experience the updates firsthand, such as the all-new Co-Op Mode. For the first time in the history of the game, this feature will let players invite a friend to their MyCAREER, creating a sense of collaboration and competition that goes beyond NBA 2K27.
Another highlight from the event was the reveal of Eras. As it says in the name, the integrated timeline gives players the chance to build their MyCAREER profiles across five iconic eras in basketball history, including the Magic vs. Bird period, the Michael Jordan generation and Steph Curry’s ongoing career.
After hosting the livestream, the publisher announced it would be moving the early access date two days earlier to August 26, 2026. Available to those who pre-order the Deluxe and Ultra editions, it will allow fans to trial some of the updates set to hit MyTEAM, the City, and MyCareer.
