Summary

Features a 3,700mAh battery capable of 10W reverse-wired charging to power up other devices

Delivers up to 40 days of standby time and over 37 hours of continuous talk time on a single charge

Equipped with a high-power LED flashlight and a rugged textured grip designed for emergency utility

HMD Global has introduced the Nokia 300 Charge as a feature phone designed to serve as both a reliable communication tool and a portable powerbank. The device prioritizes utility over complex applications by housing a 3,700mAh removable battery. This capacity stands as the largest HMD has ever included in a Nokia-branded feature phone. Users can activate a dedicated “Out” button to initiate a powerbank mode. This function provides 10W reverse charging to smartphones or audio accessories. The manufacturer includes a versatile 4-in-1 cable compatible with USB-C, Micro USB and USB-A connections to facilitate this sharing feature on the go.

Beyond its charging capabilities, the handset is built for emergency preparedness and travel. The phone boasts up to 37 hours of talk time and 40 days of standby power. A built-in LED flashlight sits at the top of the device. Nokia claims this torch is four times brighter than the one found on the previous Nokia 105 model. The exterior features a rugged design with a textured grip around the back and sides to ensure durability without adding excessive bulk. The entire unit weighs just 138 grams.

Rather than marketing the handset purely for users seeking a digital detox, the brand positions it as a practical addition to an everyday carry loadout. The massive battery ensures that a dying primary smartphone can borrow juice in a pinch. Internal specifications remain intentionally basic to maximize battery efficiency. The phone utilizes a Unisoc SC6531E chipset running the S30+ operating system. A 2.4-inch QVGA display pairs with a low-resolution QVGA rear camera for essential tasks. It also retains legacy hardware elements like a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD expansion support up to 32GB.

Current availability is limited to select markets including the Philippines. The handset retails for 2,190 Philippine pesos (approximately $38) and comes in green, sandstone and black colorways. A broader international rollout remains unconfirmed. Consumers in the United States and similar regions should note that the device relies entirely on 2G GSM connectivity across 900MHz and 1800MHz bands. Major carriers have largely shut down these legacy frequencies. This cellular limitation renders the phone incompatible with modern network infrastructures in many parts of the world, restricting its use primarily to areas where older networks remain active.
