The Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection Wraps Gaming Gear in Nostalgic Translucent Green
The partner-built lineup mines the original console’s see-through aesthetic for mice, keyboards, earbuds, and mobile controllers.
Xbox is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection, a hardware lineup that leans hard into the see-through green look of the original console. Rather than putting out one commemorative accessory, the brand tapped a roster of partners including Razer, Backbone, 8BitDo, GameSir, and PowerA to build a spread that reaches across both PC and mobile play.
Razer carries the heaviest share of the collection with three anniversary editions. The Basilisk V3 Pro 35K leads as a wireless ergonomic RGB mouse, packing the Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2, a 4-way scroll wheel, and up to 140 hours of wireless battery life. The BlackWidow V4 75% keyboard is the enthusiast pick, a compact, hot-swappable mechanical board running Razer Chroma RGB, and its standout trick is an exclusive “XBOX” key that launches the Game Bar automatically, a feature unique to the anniversary edition. Rounding out Razer’s trio, the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds pair translucent green shells with HyperSpeed Wireless and Bluetooth 5.3 for low-latency 2.4 GHz audio, rated at up to 10 hours on the buds alone and 35 hours with the charging case.
The collection then pushes into mobile. The Backbone Pro Xbox 25th Anniversary Edition phone controller arrives in three heritage-inspired colorways, Iconic Blue, Bold Orange, and Crystal Clear. Alongside it, the GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox brings the translucent green treatment to a mobile controller with Apple MFi certification and support for both iPhone and Android. PowerA closes things out on the utility side with the Xbox Sling Bag, a carry option built to fit ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, complete with cable pass-through and elastic mesh pockets.
Tying the whole thing together is the aesthetic itself. The translucent green finish is a direct callback to the original Xbox era, a color that became part of the platform’s early visual identity and now serves as the connective tissue across an otherwise varied set of hardware. The timing underscores the nostalgia play, landing ahead of the brand officially hitting 25 years on November 15. Notably, none of the pieces are made by Xbox directly, with each instead produced by a hardware partner under the “Designed for Xbox” banner.
