Summary

  • The PUMA Speedcat silhouette is reimagined by Noir Kei Ninomiya into a tactile design enveloped in translucent floral appliqués.

  • Previewed at Paris Fashion Week FW26, the sculptural sneakers release globally in August 2026 in monochromatic black, white, and red

Shown during the Japanese designer’s FW26 Paris Fashion Week runway show, the Noir Kei Ninomiya x PUMA Speedcat has arrived, with a full reveal of the floral trio. With this collaboration, the avant-garde protege of Rei Kawakubo translates the popular everyday footwear silhouette into an eye-catching wearable sculpture.

In this exploration of form and shadow, the motorsport-inspired silhouette is rendered with a tactile, three-dimensional embossed pattern of rose imprints. With its translucent upper and lustrous surfaces, light dances on the floral upper, creating the impression of glistening roses. The dense rose-covered upper is further accented by rose appliqués on the lacing system and a Noir Kei Ninomiya wordmark on the leather tongues. In addition to preserving the overall shape of the model, the original Puma stripe is visible beneath the uppers — a subtle reminder of the recognizable marks of PUMA.

The collection arrives following the debut of the inaugural DSM Kei Ninomiya line at Pitti Uomo 110, with the designer positioned as the inaugural Creative Director of Dover Street Market‘s first in-house label. Ninomiya, who has worked under Comme Des Garçons’ umbrella for years with Noir Kei Ninomiya, is increasingly branching out from his more experimental roots through DSM Kei Ninomiya and now his latest collaboration with PUMA.

The PUMA x noir kei ninomiya Speedcat is available now in Japan from noir kei ninomiya, followed by a rollout across global retailers through August.
