From a limited-edition Hideo Kojima tablet to a headset with a built-in “brain-computer” – and more.
CES – the world’s largest showcase of cool, fun and innovative gadgets – took place in Las Vegas last week. There were major announcements by many of the world’s biggest electronics brands across all categories, including speakers, toys, TVs, turntables, and – of course – robots.
Gaming was also strongly represented this year with everything from 3D monitors to dual-screen laptops and smart glasses with blistering fast refresh rates among the main talking points.
We’ve put together some of the coolest gaming tech we saw at CES 2026. Check out the list below and let us know what you think in the comments.

Xreal’s booth at CES was one of the busiest we saw this year, constantly packed with people trying on various glasses connected to various devices. The brand launched both its new “S1” glasses and the “Xreal Neo”, a compact, portable power bank that doubles up as a USB-C hub with video out. But the star of the show was the XREAL x ASUS ROG “R1” gaming smart glasses, featuring the “world’s first 240Hz spatial display” that immerses gamers in a 171-inch experience with lightning fast, ultra-smooth frame rates. The R1 features dual micro‑OLED displays with FHD resolution – 1080p per eye – and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It also includes a custom ASUS ROG user interface, and signature gaming enhancements such as TUV Rheinland-certified eye comfort technology that reduce blue light and flicker during extended sessions.

Powered by xAI’s Grok engine, AVA offers real-time gaming coaching and life organization. Users can choose from stylized avatars like KIRA or esports legend Faker. OneXPlayer officially graduated from its Kickstarter roots into the big leagues with its booth in the main showroom this year. The powerful device houses the AMD’s monster Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (Strix Halo) chip and features a proprietary Frost Bay liquid-cooling system that allows the device to jump from a standard portable wattage to a staggering 120W TDP when docked – this effectively makes it the first handheld that can legitimately stand in for a high-end gaming tower. It can be configured with up to 64GB RAM, 2TB of local storage (not counting the mini SSD and a microSD card slots that allow even more), and an large 8-inch OLED panel that rivals the best we’ve seen on other handhelds. HyperX Neurable Headset
Release Date: TBC
Price: TBC
A headset with a built-in “brain-computer” to kick-off 2026. HyperX and Neurable announced an “industry-first” gaming headset “outfitted with neurotechnology” – but what exactly does that mean? According to the brands, the new headset uses AI and neuroscience to “help players improve their focus and accuracy by interpreting brain activity in real-time.” The headset features Neurable’s proprietary tech embedded within the ear cups and these “non-invasive” EEG sensors track your brainwaves to monitor focus and fatigue levels in real-time. And, while gaming, if the headset detects that you’re locked in it can automatically trigger a “Do Not Disturb” mode on your PC and increase active noise cancellation to keep you fully immersed. The brands say gamers’ reaction times were improved “by 43 milliseconds,” accuracy “by 0.53%,” and “nearly 9 additional targets hit in a target shooting psychometric task” during tests.
Samsung “Odyssey 3D” Monitor
Release Date: First half of 2026
Price: TBC
Samsung’s Odyssey range of gaming monitors needs no introduction. This year, though, the South Korean brand really stepped it up and – literally – took things into a new dimension with the its updated Odyssey 3D (model G90XH) monitor. Described by Samsung as “the world’s first 6K glasses-free 3D gaming monitor,” it uses real-time eye tracking to provide the user with a “3D” view of whatever’s on their screen. It adjusts depth and perspective in relation to where the user is sitting and, according to the brand, creates “a layered sense of dimension” without any additional peripherals needed. Its super-high 6K resolution is supported by a 165Hz refresh rate that can be “boosted to 330Hz” when using the monitor’s Dual Mode, as well as a super-fast 1ms response time for minimal lag during gameplay. The monitor can also convert most 2D content, like regular YouTube videos, into 3D before your eyes.
NVIDIA “DLSS 4.5”
Release Date: Late 2026 (US)
Price: TBC
Another standout from CES this year wasn’t a new console or piece of futuristic hardware – it was pure computational wizardry. NVIDIA’s DLSS 4.5 stole the spotlight by showing how modern AI can literally redefine smoothness and visual fidelity in games. Building on last year’s buzz around super-resolution and frame generation, NVIDIA’s second-generation model doesn’t only deliver better, sharper lighting and motion clarity, it also dynamically churns out up to six AI-generated frames for every one rendered that results in buttery smooth 4K gameplay at 240Hz and above. The brand also demoed Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, its adaptive system that intelligently balances crisp visuals with insane frame rates on the fly and can upscale hundreds of titles across RTX GPUs with minimal latency. While technical developments in gaming weren’t in abundance this year, DLSS 4.5 alone brings so much to the table to make up for any shortcomings. You can learn more about it in this video.
Special Mention: Volkswagen x Sony Honda Mobility “AFEELA 1” EV
Volkswagen and Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) are redefining the “mobile lounge” with the AFEELA 1 pre-production EV.
