OAMC has quietly produced readily wearable technical clothing since its inception, and Spring/Summer 2019 saw the brand expanding its inspiration to vintage military gear. The new collection undercuts the seriousness of war-influenced clothing with splashes of color and graphic upgrades, along with a hint of workwear influence.
Coveralls and trench coats were elevated with paint splatters and a bevy of attached pouches, a boon to functionality and visual appeal alike. Alluring colors further bolstered the range, with versatile khakis and neutral tones granted depth by organic fabrics and intelligent textile selection, which resulted in weatherproof nylons and wrinkly linens alike. Comfortable cuts emphasized the garments’ adaptability, showcased in the various high-rise trousers, boxy outerwear and woven shirting — these goods are universally wearable, a contemporary update to enduring menswear styles. Floral patterns and NASA-like OAMC branding brought a hint of streetwear styling to the otherwise sober collection, while sturdy zippers and convertible collars affirmed timelessness over trendiness.
