POLIQUANT Channels Scorsese With Fall/Winter 2018 Collection

The Japanese label puts its spin on classic pieces.

Following on from its “Functage Youth” collection in 2017, Japanese label POLIQUANT has returned with a lookbook for its upcoming Fall/Winter 2018 collection. Titled “Age of Innocence,” the capsule takes inspiration from Martin Scorsese‘s 1993 film of the same name and — in particular — a line that reads “modifying it one by one is a condition for starting a new thing.”

This influence is seen in reworking classic pieces, including a deconstructed and collarless MA-1 jacket and a tartan flock oversized coat. Elsewhere, the collection also includes cut and sew vintage tees and branded headwear. The “Age of Innocence” capsule also features exclusively produced Japanese fabrics throughout.

The collection is slated to drop later this year, with the Spring/Summer 2018 collection releasing via the POLIQUANT web store at the end of January 2018. In other fashion news, Berthold has just unveiled a new cosplay-inspired collection.
