Levi’s and Japanese brand JOURNAL STANDARD relume have officially partnered to release a special edition rigid denim collection, featuring the Levi’s x JOURNAL STANDARD relume TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 Rigid Trucker Jackets alongside the 501 Selvedge Rigid Jeans. The capsule revives iconic denim silhouettes with detailed vintage specifications and custom brand accents.
The TYPE 1 Rigid Trucker Jacket centers on classic construction, incorporating a single flapless front pocket, box stitching, a 5-button closure, and exclusive rainbow stitching details. Sizes 2XL and larger feature a vintage-style “T-back” split back design. Building on the evolution of the original, the TYPE 2 Rigid Trucker Jacket introduces symmetrical dual chest pockets and a balanced boxy silhouette, utilizing lightweight fabric on the underside of the pocket flaps alongside the same “T-back” construction on larger sizes.
Completing the collection, the 501 Selvedge Rigid Jeans draw inspiration from the archival 1947 model. The pair features an extended 20cm long side stitch from the pocket to the hem, red selvedge detailing inside the coin pocket, V-stitch construction beside the top button, and single stitching along the waistband. All-yellow stitching throughout is designed to age naturally alongside the denim over time.
The Levi’s x JOURNAL STANDARD relume collection releases on August 7, 2026, with pre-orders available via Journal Standard online.
