The material hierarchy is worth reading in sequence. The base is black leather, giving the Air Rift’s 1996 split-toe structure a cleaner, more elevated foundation than the mesh and textile builds the silhouette has historically leaned on. The strap overlays are finished in a patent style, adding a low-key shine that reads differently from the leather beneath it under light.
