Here, the tradition of musical discovery meets the power of world-class architectural acoustics. By bringing globally recognized sounds to the unparalleled sonic environments of Esplanade, the series builds upon a legacy that has previously hosted eclectic performers such as Girl in Red, Hiromi’s Sonicwonder, Pat Metheny and Ichiko Aoba. April starts with a focus on electronic exploration and noise-pop mastery. Icelandic group múm brings their curiosity-driven explorations to the Esplanade Annexe Studio on April 11, blending soft vocals and glitch beats with innovative sampling from their latest 2025 release, History of Silence. Following on April 15, UK’s foundational noise-pop pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain make a long-awaited return to Singapore after 14 years. Performing at the Esplanade Concert Hall, brothers Jim and William Reid will showcase the fuzzy distortion and songwriting artistry that shaped genres like shoegaze and post-punk, featuring tracks from their debut album Psychocandy to their 2024 album, Glasgow Eyes.
In May and June, the programming shifts toward immersive art-rock and daring experimentation. Public Service Broadcasting makes their highly anticipated Singapore debut on May 9, transforming historical archives into an atmospheric live experience that utilizes music, visuals, and archival sound. Their performance will highlight thematic works from albums like The Last Flight (2024), which traces the voyage of aviator Amelia Earhart.
In June, the focus turns to the unpredictable energy of US-based experimental rock outfit Deerhoof. Celebrating over three decades as a cult favorite, the band is set to deliver an electrifying night of avant-pop melodies and punk energy on June 8, drawing from their abrasive and defiant 2025 record, Noble and Godlike in Ruin.
In July, the vibrant sounds of Altın Gün, an Amsterdam-based collective leading the revival of Turkish psychedelic music. On July 16, the band will perform at the Esplanade Annexe Studio, showcasing tracks from their fifth and most eclectic album, Garip, which pays tribute to folk legend Neşet Ertaş through genre-spanning arrangements of funk, synth-pop, and psych-funk. While Altın Gün brings the July programming to a vibrant peak, the music doesn’t stop there. The Mosaic Music Series is an ongoing crescendo, with curated calendar of world-class acts still waiting in the wings.
