Summary

  • Diptyque has revamped its iconic candle vessel with a ten percent weight reduction and an all-new refill system
  • The expanded fragrance lineup introduces five new scents including coffee, nettle, black sesame, rhubarb, and shiso
  • A new collection of decorative accessories crafted from borosilicate glass and biscuit porcelain accompanies the launch

Diptyque is officially introducing a refined evolution of its classic candle for 2026, marking a new chapter for the brand’s very first object. With a focus on sustainability and elevated design, the maison has partnered with Franco-Swiss designer Julie Richoz to subtly adjust the iconic glass vessel.

The redesigned vessel maintains its timeless aesthetic but now features an oval-shaped ridge of glass that marks the perimeter of the label. The label itself retains the signature monochrome print and distinctive typography originally envisioned by Desmond Knox-Leet, now updated with sharper delineation. In a push toward eco-responsibility, the new glass vessel is 10% lighter and accommodates a brand-new refill system, arriving in bio-sourced “paperfoam” casing.

Expanding its olfactory herbarium, Diptyque enlisted perfumers Alexandra Carlin and Olivia Giacobetti to create five unprecedented fragrances. The new lineup includes the roasted warmth of Café, the green freshness of Ortie, the addictive roasted notes of Sésame Noir, the fruity acidity of Rhubarbe, and the complex aromatic profile of Shiso. Rounding out the release is a collection of decorative accessories, including a flame-blown borosilicate glass Coasted Candle Holder, biscuit porcelain trays, and graphic matchboxes.

The Diptyque classic candle revamp and new fragrances will arrive later this year, with the refill system specifically launching in Fall 2026.
