Crunchyroll has officially announced that it will serve as the global streaming home for Daemons of the Shadow Realm, the highly anticipated anime adaptation of the latest manga series from Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa. The series is scheduled to premiere worldwide (excluding Asia) this weekend, with new episodes arriving weekly every Saturday.
The story follows Yuru, a young hunter living a humble mountain life with his twin sister, Asa, until a mysterious “dragon’s roar” shatters their peace and plunges their village into a supernatural conflict. As legends and secrets regarding the village come to light, Yuru must navigate a world of mystical “Daemon” battles. The English dub is produced directly by Crunchyroll, featuring a creative team led by ADR voice director Shawn Gann and ADR producer Susie Nixon, with Matthew Greenbaum providing the English script.
The English voice cast features Ben Stegmair as Yuru and Molly Zhang as Asa. They are joined by a veteran supporting cast, including Bill Butts as Right, Colleen Clinkenbeard as Left, and Jarrod Greene as Dera. Other confirmed cast members include Mikaela Krantz as Gabby, Wendy Powell as Yamaha, and Caitlin Martelle as Azami. This production aims to capture the same blend of character-driven drama and inventive fantasy that established Arakawa as a premiere voice in the industry.
