nonnative and UNDERCOVER continue their ongoing creative dialogue with the release of the OZISM Spring 2026 Collection. Inspired by the cinematic philosophy of legendary director Yasujiro Ozu, the “OZISM” project serves as a “Portrait of Modern Japanese” life, blending the utilitarian expertise of Takayuki Fujii with Jun Takahashi’s subversive high-end aesthetic.
For the spring season, the collection leans in on a mood of quiet, transitional elegance, with a focus on functional garments that respect Japanese heritage and the practical needs of daily work and life. A standout centerpiece of the range is the new Monk Blouson, which evolves the brand’s signature samue-inspired “Monk” silhouette. Featuring a unique double-front construction and details borrowed from classic trucker jackets, the blouson is crafted from a dry-textured cotton corduroy that offers a seasonless, timeless appeal.
The range also introduces clean drawstring pants, boat-neck tops in lightweight fleece and heavy-duty cotton canvas Boston bags with a vintage wash finish. For footwear, the collaboration reunites with GUIDI to produce a refined back-zip boot with a streamlined sole edge, emphasizing the collection’s focus on sophisticated utility.
The nonnative × UNDERCOVER OZISM Spring 2026 collection is scheduled for release on March 7, 2026. Items will be available through the brands’ official webstores and select authorized retailers, with prices ranging from ¥22,000 – ¥286,000 JPY (approx. $140 – $1,814 USD).
