At last, Melitta Baumeister’s collaboration with Nike Running is dropping. Teased by the designer last year, the new partners have prepared the Vomero Premium and Pegasus Premium in two hand-painted colorways.
Looking first at the Vomero Premium, it dons a “Total Orange” that embraces a weathered effect that is unique to each pair. Co-branding is scattered throughout, including at the lateral midfoot and aglets. Rounding out the pair is a set of eyes at the outsole that watch whoever is following you, as well as a lenticular blinking eye at the tongue. A similar branding treatment has been applied to the “Volt”-colored Pegasus Premium. Instead of eyes, the outsole embraces a “Run Like No One Is Watching” motto that is also present at the laces and lateral rear portion of the midsole. Meanwhile, Baumeister’s eye stares upon any onlookers from the upper’s medial midfoot and the co-branded sockliner.
For those interested in shopping Melitta Baumeister’s Nike Vomero Premium and Pegasus Premium collaborations, both are set to drop on April 1 via the designer’s website. From there, Nike SNKRS will be hosting a drop on April 8, with the Vomero Premium “Total Orange” priced at $260 USD and the Pegasus Premium “Volt” costing $220 USD. A pre-launch event is also set to take place at Dover Street Market Ginza on March 28.
